The action-drama film “Salaar,” featuring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is experiencing a consistent decline in its box office earnings. As it entered its second week on Friday, the film witnessed a significant decrease compared to its opening Friday, where it garnered Rs 90.7 crore.

By the eighth day, Salaar’s box office collection had reached Rs 9.62 crore by 9 pm, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings the total nett collection of the film in India to Rs 317.62 crore. The popularity of Prabhas contributed to a substantial amount, with Rs 110.48 crore earned in the Hindi-speaking region alone. It’s noteworthy that during this period, the audience also had the option to watch Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki,” released just a day before Salaar.

On Friday, the film achieved the highest occupancy in the Telugu-speaking states at 27.11%. The Malayalam occupancy stood at 17.17%, and the Tamil occupancy was 19.32%. Film trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan revealed that Salaar has amassed a global earning of Rs 542.63 crore. This places it as the seventh film of the year to cross the Rs 500 crore mark worldwide, following “Pathaan,” “Jawan,” “Leo,” “Gadar 2,” “Jailer,” and “Animal.”
